Trips and Experiences

We had a visit from the cosydirect.com team of volunteers on their help out day. They did an amazing job in our garden, thank you so much!

The children had an amazing time learning about the Staffordshire Fire and Rescue service and how they protect us! They got to try on their helmets, have a look inside the fire truck and even test out the water hoses!

He talked to the children about his role as a policeman and the children asked lots of questions. Most of the children had a turn in the car most did not want to get out. They lined up the cones and pretended to arrest each other. The children had an amazing time and loved every minute. 

Our topic this week is our pets. To help us to understand how to look after our pets the vets came to talk to the children about pet care.

The children got involved by dressing up and joining in with the pet game. The children had a great time.

On the 25th September we went on a walk around the village. We posted letters home that we wrote ourselves and we filled in a survey of the different houses and shops in our local area.

We had to cancel our zoo trip in July due to the hot weather... but this was not going to stop us taking the risers on their trip. We rebooked and took them another week instead! It was a great day.

To celebrate Chinese new year we have been talking about different countries and food. 

One of our parents has written all the children's and staffs names in Chinese and we have also been talking about how food is cooked and the different styles of cooking and ingredients.
